We are proud to announce our awesome partnership with the Military Spouse Kickball Association (MSKA) chapter located at the Marine Corps Air Station Base Miramar. They are a 504c nonprofit organization that has many chapters throughout the world. They are a league of military spouses built on Camaraderie, Community, and Competition. The chapter consists of 12 teams with almost 200 military spouses who give back.
While they enjoy competing, every season they also support various charities by fundraising, donating, and volunteering with local non-profit organizations.
Every season, the coaches of the chapter discuss and choose an organization they want to support each season. This fall season, It's All about the Kids was selected. Typically, each season, teams come up with unique ways to collect goods and enjoy a friendly "competition" of who collects the most goods. This year, they knocked it out of the park for us!
The funds raised allow us to provide 8,254 nutritious meals in addition to hundreds of more meals created by the non-perishable food that they donated. Their players regularly volunteer at our food distributions and at our warehouse to pack thousands of bags of food as well!
We love our new partnership and can't wait to work with these amazing women again!
