CESAR HERNANDEZ

Cesar C. Hernandez was born and raised in San Diego where he started working at an early age acquiring various skills and concepts in landscape, construction and architecture. Over the years, Cesar developed a passion for landscape design and launched a successful full service architectural design and construction business. Due to the experience Cesar had obtained, it allowed him to become involved in several community projects, to include work done for the YMCA.

In the early stages of developing his company Cesar worked in the Hospitality Industry at upscale events throughout San Diego. In addition, Cesar had the pleasure of working the CEO Summits for Bill Gates, which instilled a desire to give back to the community.

As Cesar’s business continued to expand, he worked on major projects that included luxury resorts, rooftop water features, and fire pits.  Most notably the Andaz & Hard Rock Hotels, located in Downtown San Diego and La Jolla, California. After completing several successful designs, Cesar decided to sell his company to his son in order to pursue a new and challenging endeavor.

Cesar and his wife Janina traveled the United States for two years rehabilitating and flipping homes. After one year in Florida of rehabbing duplexes and single family homes, Janina and Cesar traveled to Seattle, Washington to continue flipping homes. Their new focus however, was learning the business concepts of E-Commerce.

In 2012, Janina and Cesar decided to develop an online swimsuit business named BikiniGaGa. This website featured detailed sizing information to help women find the perfect fit, based on their body type. Together Janina and Cesar learned a lot and went on to solve another issue for women… shoes! Cesar is now the Brand Ambassador of LuxBodega.com, which is a designer shoe rental business. Working on social media connections, as well as marketing this new concept of a virtual shoe closet, is challenging yet exciting.

From becoming an active volunteer in 2013, to an Associate Board Member in 2014, Cesar is officially a Board of Director for two foundations. The “It’s All About the Kids foundation” and the “La Jolla Carnival Against Cancer Society” have brought Cesar great joy. Cesar has found that he can make a difference in the world and help shape our future leaders!
