UCSD Global TIES Program solves challenges for It's All About the Kids®

The.Global Teams In Engineering Service (TIES) program at UC San Diego is a humanitarian engineering program in which teams of students address engineering/technology challenges facing non-profits.

In 2014, Professor Brandon Reynante contacted Founder Angela Brannon-Baptiste to ask if It's All About the Kids® would like to be involved and she gladly accepted.

Each quarter, Angela meets, Skypes and emails with teams of students. Then, the teams present final projects to the class, Professor Reynante and Angela. "Global Ties has been so amazing for our charity. The students present amazing projects that help our charity continue on our mission to help kids both in San Diego and Baja Mexico, " said Angela. "We are so grateful to Professor Reynante and the students for choosing us!"

Th Winter 2017 Projects focused on a Life Skills App for Kids. Past projects have included a water filtration system, a sustainable garden, a solar water irrigation system, auction software and others.

Thank you to Professor Reynante, UCSD Engineering Program and the stellar engineering students. #iaatk #ucsd #globalties
