WHY WE DO IT
Since 2004, It's All About The Kids® Foundation [IAATK] has done many things for over 16,000 children in San Diego and Baja Mexico. This includes collecting and distributing over 30,000 toys and educational materials, teaching life skills to hundreds of San Diego homeless youth, and provided essentials for hundreds of children in orphanages in Baja Mexico. Since September 2017, IAATK's focus has been ONE THING - to FEED THE KIDS.
In California, 59% of children are on lunch assistance and receive free lunch. At many of the schools in San Diego, the number is as high as 99%. IAATK wants to help working families whose are struggling to feed their children. Your kids need food in order to grow, learn and succeed.
The It's All About the Kids® Foundation bridges the weekend food insecurity gap for children in impoverished neighborhoods. We Feed The Kids! We provide up to 40 pounds of fresh and canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, beans, rice, cereal, and other non-perishable food items EACH WEEK to needy families at our Feed The Kids Food Pantry in Barrio Logan. Each week an average of 6,000 to 9,000 meals are provided.
