The It’s All About the Kids Foundation is happy to announce that we have been chosen as the #2 Children’s Charity in San Diego, according to www.hauteliving.com. The Miami based internet site that  highlights the best of everything in major cities.

It’s All About the Kids is proud to have been chosen as one of the charities for the San Diego Association of Realtor’s Holiday House !

The Kick-off Party was November 1, 2011 with delicious food from Fleming’s Prime Steak House and Wine Bar La Jolla, Sushi on the Rock, Sprinkle Me Desserts and wine tasting from Quiggley Wines. Donations will be accepted at the Holiday House, at SDAR Service Centers, and area Drop-Off Centers located throughout San Diego County. For more info on donating, please go to www.sdar.com.

The Donation Celebration Party is December 6, 2011 from 3pm-7pm and again fabulous food will be served by Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar La Jolla, Sushi on the Rock, Kous Kous Moroccan Bistro and Sprinkle Me Desserts. The Gypsy Knights will perform. Guests are again asked to bring an item to donate. To attend, please rsvp at www.sdar.com.

The Summer of 2011 is filled with ART!
Because of the generosity of Alexander Salazar Fine Art Gallery and the guests of their 1st Anniversary Party, It’s All about the Kids was able to offer Art Classes to the kids of Christie’s Place, Toussaint Academy and Storefront. Each Tuesday, kids came to Alexander’s Gallery to paint and have fun! Thank you to our artists, Valorie Henderson and Kira Corser for helping with our classes. Kira shared her “Art is the Next Peace:Connecting Communities” project with us !

Shoot to Cure HD Event June 2010 and 2011

Making a Difference in the fight against Huntington’s Disease

For the last 6 years, It’s All About the Kids brought teens to the Shoot to Cure event at the Charger Training Camp!  The event was full of food, beverages and Chargers!   The most important part was a presentation by Huntington’s Disease that brought tears to our eyes each year. We learned about this terrible disease and how important the event is to raise much needed funds  to help end this disease.

Teams competed by shooting hoops in order to win the title !  We haven’t won yet, but we have had an AMAZING time!  The teens always get a ton of autographs ! And photos with the players and Charger Girls!  Our favorite food always includes Homie’s Cinnamon Buns, Vitamin Water and Tilted Kilt!  Thank you to Stephanie, Natalie and Bill of Huntington’s Disease and Liquid Investments and Ron Fowler for inviting us each year!  This is one of our favorite events of the year!  For more info please go to http://www.hdsa.org .  Photos by John Vaughn of Instant Karma Photography.
